The project
Bavarian Summerhouse, Brodick Castle
Work: Heritage & conservation
Location: Brodick Castle, Isle of Arran
Joinery works as part of the conservation of Brodick Castle’s historic Bavarian Summerhouse, overlooking Brodick Bay on the Isle of Arran.
Joinery for a distinctive Arran landmark
TF Joinery carried out joinery works as part of the conservation of the Bavarian Summerhouse at Brodick Castle, Garden & Country Park.
Built in the nineteenth century, the listed summerhouse sits against the sandstone cliff overlooking Brodick Bay. Its rustic timber decoration and distinctive arched windows make it an unusual part of the castle grounds.
Part of a wider conservation project
The National Trust for Scotland credits TF Joinery with the joinery works and Homes by Holmes with the decoration. The summerhouse reopened following conservation work, allowing visitors to enjoy this historic viewpoint once again.
A closer look during the works
